Our Purpose: Lion Management
Lion Management was originally established with a singular purpose: to assist private practitioners of Optometry and Ophthalmology in making crucial business decisions through the perspective of capital investment. The founders recognized that independent practice owners launched their own businesses to prioritize their expertise—caring for patients—rather than becoming weighed down by the daily challenges of business operations.
Through extensive collaboration with more than 20 practices, Lion Management developed multiple pathways for wealth creation while allowing the owners to keep control of their practices. These approaches were tailored to suit the unique needs of each client while increasing the value of the entire network.
Our History: Lion Management and AUTUS Partners
Lion Management was formed in 2020 as a specialized group dedicated to serving ophthalmologists and optometrists. It was founded by the original creators of AUTUS Partners, bringing their expertise and vision to the field of eye care. AUTUS Partners began in 2015 as a strategic advisory firm focused on small businesses, where the team developed and implemented advancement programs designed specifically for start-up businesses. These foundations have shaped Lion Management’s approach, combining industry-specific knowledge with a proven track-record in supporting business growth and development.
The AUTUS team developed an innovative plan to create new revenue streams, establish partnership programs, and reduce costs across multiple PLLCs—all without compromising patient care, a priority for many practices.
Through this approach, Lion Management and AUTUS Partners consolidated 20 optometry practices into a turnkey network that became the 35th-largest U.S. optical network in less than two years. (Vision Monday Top Retailers List 2022)
